Grab those binos and get outside to find birds on May 11 for Global Big Day! Join thousands of birders around the world to send eBird reports of what they’ve seen in the same 24-hour period twice per year. A high volume of eBird lists on the same two days each year give scientists a data snapshot of what’s happening with birds – their distribution, populations, and locations. You can help birds by submitting your own birdlists – either on your own or with a group of friends. It’s a great way to spend a Saturday and brings a much-needed boost of data to help understand bird distribution and inform conservation. Do your part by submitting your lists, and have a great, birdy day May 11!
