No matter where you are February 18-21, you can help birds by joining tens of thousands of birders from around the globe who are counting, and reporting birds during that time period to eBird for the Great Backyard Bird Count. The info reported helps scientists keep track of bird population numbers and locations. Just by doing one of your favorite things and watching birds for at least 15 minutes during the four-day period, you can contribute to an important scientific study. So polish up your binos, maybe grab your camera (photos are also accepted!), go outside, or just report from your kitchen window what’s happening at your feeders! Then report your sightings to eBird.
